The test is based on the Problem Gambling Severity Index (PGSI) screening tool, which is used to assess the level of problem gambling. When answering, think about your gambling over the last 12 months.

How is the PGSI scored?
Each answer has a value from 0 to 3 points. The points are automatically added up after completing the test, and the total score can range from 0 to 27 points.
0 points
No risk indicators or negative consequences detected by the PGSI questions.
1 – 2 points
Low level of risk.
3 – 7 points
Moderate level of risk.
8 – 27 points
Result corresponding to problem gambling according to the PGSI classification.
The score represents a screening assessment and is not a medical diagnosis in itself.
What is PGSI?
The Problem Gambling Severity Index (PGSI) is a nine-item screening tool designed to assess problem gambling in the general population.
The questions focus on gambling behaviour and possible negative consequences of gambling over the last 12 months.
The PGSI was developed as part of the Canadian Problem Gambling Index. Its authors are Ferris and Wynne (2001).
